B field equation as a function of distance in mm from foil surface ---->

  • y = -1.186ln(x) + 3.9958
  • r^2 value of R² = 0.9831

Milestone moment

With the Lock-in Amplifier system and the two equations provided in the Hinds instrument MOKE manual I am able to observe a Kerr θ and ε on the Lock-in Amplifiers!!!

Although the fit is far from perfect, some setup optimization may help us observe a more clear signal
This quite smooth curve agrees with literature in that the ellipticity is more sensitive to change in magnetization of foil.
