Center for Injectors and Sources, Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility
Our Mission: To develop and maintain high performance electron sources and injectors for particle accelerators. Our responsibilities include the 12 GeV Continuous Electron Beam Accelerator Facility (CEBAF), the 100 MeV Low Energy Research Facility (LERF) ERL, 10 MeV Upgrade Injector Test Facility (UITF) and the 500 keV Gun Test Stand. Our work revolves around the production of both polarized and unpolarized electron and positron beams with special interest in high voltage DC guns, RF synchronized lasers, high vacuum, novel photocathodes, and precision polarimetry.
