GPT Simulations of GTS - Ion trapping
- Clean up derivation of net force on ion.
- Consider trapping between two anodes, two solenoids, etc.
- An optimization condition might be: v_parallel = 0 at solenoid (the particle stops in the middle of the solenoid). We can optimize the field strengths in order to make this condition true.
BPM measurements
- Eventually should be able to use the "BPM" at GTS to take measurements of characteristic ion oscillation frequencies.
