*Need to make ppt slide showing CST model with Rmax regions (regions where particles are removed), and where E-field is defined
+
*Josh:
*Create a "killmap" (Map3D_Remove GPT function) from stepfile?
+
**Ask bas about space charge routine to simulate ions within beam potential
*Solenoid and second steerer field maps are overlapping...perhaps move second corrector upstream to z=0.5m? - need same kicks on both correctors so that the beam returns to center
+
**Look at GPT time-based field maps for beam potential (i.e. to simulate time-dependent beam potential)
*Perhaps use physical values of steering coils (in G-cm)
+
**Check beam parameters: for a 1mA, 500MHz beam, the bunch charge should be 2pC. Bunch length should be 50ps (RMS). Beam size (laser spot) at PC should be 1mm RMS.
*Make plot of Cristhian's B & Φ on axis (including solenoids, correctors, and E-field)
+
**Try GPT simulations with and without space charge.
*Start at 135mm with correct particle distribution (i.e. use screen at z=135mm) for easy comparisons with IBSimu
+
**Put stdx and stdy vs Z on side view simulations.
*Correct x vs y plot (Python) - update axis labels
+
**Produce initial particle distribution that starts at 135mm using a Gaussian distribution
*Pick solenoid lens setting for small beam at dipole
+
**Put Alex Chao paper with calculations on wiki (This paper is for Fast Ion Instability -- a potential method to determine the identities of ions within an electron beam with very long bunches)
*Fix 15 deg dipole field map link (wasn't working at time of meeting) and upload to wiki w/comment
+
*Next meeting is Jan 10, 2020
*Figure out cause of bump in RMS emittance plot
