• The gun was let to soak for 8 hour periods in four instances with the magnet at 400A. The vacuum level indicated by the UHV gun ion pump seems to improve with time, now at 5 nA. The behavior of the vacuum and the tradition levels reported by the RadMonitor system are still not fully understood, we are looking at literature on field emission under the presence of magnetic fields.
  • This GTSLOG shows the gun soaking at 300kV and Magnet at 400A

• The beam line vacuum bake is underway

• Mamun has the improved put retainer which he and Yan plan to install today.

• Gabriel did the following POISSON simulations comparing the T-Shape electrode to the ball electrode when both are in the CEBAF size gun vacuum chamber.
