There must be something we are missing when it comes to the magnetic field and the Kerr effect itself .... Or our setup currently doesn't measure the Kerr effect.

There must be something we are missing when it comes to the magnetic field and the Kerr effect itself .... Or our setup currently doesn't measure the Kerr effect.
