Quad IA is a system that can apply up to +/- 45VDC on an "IA" (intensity asymmetry) pockels cell at the helicity pattern. It sends a control voltage based on the 4 states of the helicity quartet pattern. It is this quartet pattern control that gives it the name "quad IA". It is only designed for three halls because only three existed in 2010 and Hall D was not yet conceived for simultaneous beam delivery.
