Can we be ready for a Feb 1 to Mar 15 install period?

• (Carlos) The photocathode lifetime at UITF is REALLY bad, the field emission at 200 kV certainly doesn’t help (is it the sole problem?). So take apart gun polish electrode, krypton process until there’s NO field emission

• (Carlos) Align the gun so that the cathode AND the anode are at normal incidence relative to the beamline and trajectory

• (Joe/Shukui) Align the rest of the beamline

a. As-found of Y-chamber, CEBAF's is problematic, don't let Hansknecht design vacuum chambers :)

b. Review beam line as-found, I don't link 80/20, too many knobs, did not use this at CEBAF purposely

c. Check viewer retraction, weld top-hat

• (What is problem ... controls or vacuum, can we fix it sooner) Fix the chopper slit

• (Yan/Joe) if chopper fixed can you set this up, test ability to neck down current? setup the chopper phases

a. Yan (or Joe volunteers) for ~1 shift end of December to evaluate orbit to keV spectrometer

• (Marcy, find or buy the pump) Replace the ion pump at the chopper chamber

• (Matt???, or Mamun) Add load lock to depo chamber

• (Mamun, what's the plan??) Modify depo chamber to include new chemical sources

• (Attempt to better align the mask

• (Joe/Eric) Add the polarimeter

a. Use VWien => only need on weak solenoid

b. Eric checked 100-300 kV cross-section, Sherman func., agrees <5% w/ Xavier

c. Refining parameters (cur/tgt/collim) for single (10kHz), integ. (1MHz) rate on 60 and 120 deg ports

d Prob. use existing ladder (or fab new), existing foils (or buy more), Scott purchased stac5 for ladder

e. Prob. fag new collimators, earth buicking coils; SG or DM on tap for Dec-Jan, then fab

f. Chamber : (4) det, (1) cup, (1) new small pump, (1) window, (1) ladder, blank rest

g. Still sketching layout, looks like: valve + H/V + sol + H/V + chamber + fcup + shield; all on new girder (old CEBAF)

• (Riad/Daniel) Add the DAQ

• (Matt - ???) A3 is in the wrong place, at least in terms of protecting the booster

• (Need beam time maybe??) Beam appears far right at ITVK203A, beam appears far left at ITVK401, maybe the alignment of the beamline will help?

a. B-field => shop is re-filling steel upper/lower plates (due Jan, then MMF), PS exists

b. E-field => (6) new electrodes arrived, HVPS installed, CEBAF style switcher will be available

c. Wien Quads crosses => purchased enough for (4) CEBAF, (2) UITF, (2) spares, many steps but ready Jan, + viewer mods

d. ME checking that a CEBAF-style V-Wien is a drop in to present drift
