Steps for building Wien filter:
- Fabricate coils, magnet (1010 steel), nickel (alloy 200) magnet mirror, vacuum chamber
- Anneal nickel
- Assemble magnet with end flanges (if possible)
- Measure magnetic field profile (average a few passes) on centerline
- Cut electrode profile to match magnetic profile
- EP electrodes
- Assemble with electrodes
