Running Kinney Pump Piping outside CTF

3 options for running piping outside:

1. Between Gas tanks and building. Preferred because we believe that this piping route is the easiest and "cleanest" way to route the piping. Cleanest refers to being able to route the piping without having to worry about interfering with any future jobs.

2. Running the piping on top of building. We believe this is a bad idea because the people will have a hard time getting around the piping.

3. Running piping through the building. We believe that this route will take longer to design and fabricate. There are many more obstacles in the way that we would have to be careful to miss during the planning

How the charge Codes are used

From Email Rusty sent on Dec 2nd:

conceptual planning (FMRIGO) The effort up to a conceptual design; which is 35%

Design and materials (FMECEU) The effort from 35% design to 100% (procurement documents)

Rusty indicated that we needed conceptual sketches (line dwgs) to be able to purchase the main components. Everyone agreed that the Process Diagram would meet th

"We are planning a design review (Review set for Dec 8, 2016) for the 35% level. This effort will be:

1. Process diagram

2. Valve list

3. Installation sequence

Most of conceptional design was already done before the charge codes were done to prove that job can be done with minimal effect to operations. The estimates to finish these task did not include "work already done".

Utility Tree (Pipe support) - Question from Michele during the meeting

The only piping we would expect to be on the outside pipe support is for the 12" Kinney Pump suction header.

The other piping and conduits should all be routed inside

Water piping will all be done by the cryo group.

Action Items

Rusty needs the break up between techs and designers

Send Rusty and Michele the 3 options (3D models) for Kinney piping

Need to identify the locations where the water piping is interfacing with the facilities piping.

Work on better plan to be able to run Kinney Piping through CTF.
