The controls design workshop was at SLAC 8 Feb. Scanlon says requirements keep changing. It was a procurement readiness review but now they are asking for ICD's FRS's etc. Post review should allow Chris to release gas management and utility ($500K) and then the 4K and 2K cold boxes ($500K) (paperwork is at 80% complete). In addition, Vincent has requested the written software spec also be translated in to flow chart form. Creel told Chris this would need to be a formal change request through Dana since it will involve additional manpower and resources that were not accounted for in the current manpower plan.

Agenda and Notes

1. Manpower

Ritendra B. has started. He has been placed on LCLS2. Chris has been instructed to get Ritendra busy on the controls work as fast as possible. His specific duties will be checking electrical drawings. He will also work on software specifications. We will monitor progress against the document schedule provided by Scanlon. Will continues to get pushing from John Galyda via Joe P. that we don't have enough controls/electrical manpower.

2. Project

We will meet to design JLABs the future participation in LCLS2.

The 2K FDR is scheduled 9 Mar at JLAB.

Internal 2K piping is being worked with Hung yu and Damon Rath.

Smith groups review of the installation package is complete.

Mike reports the upstream can design is almost complete and they are working on the downstream can.

3. Recovery Compressor Progress

Heat exchanges did not show up on time. When Ski called, the vendor indicated the ship date slipped one month. ITT is running three shifts to catch up.

4. Additional work

There is more potential fabrication work for a turbine and cold compressor water skid but we have not heard anything else.

There may also be some work building 230 bayonets, etc.

We are producing an estimate for the LCLS2 in LERF cryomodule testing. Daly estimated it would be required in 3-6 months.

Action Items

1. Ritendra needs to come up to speed quickly and kept busy.

2. Creel will set a follow up meeting to discuss JLAB future participation.
