ESR T2 Investigation
From Cryowiki

ESR turbines could have modified bearing gas systems. This needs to be clarified for both turbines.
T2 will sometimes stop (following a trip) after a significant amount of time (< 10 minutes), or not stop at all.
When pressure is applied to T2 inlet valve, the turbine will slowly spin. High level of confidence that the inlet valve leaks by.
- investigate bearing gas process at ESR
- Verify LVDT on turbine inlet valve
- Warm T2. Schedule. Dependent on transfer line.
- Check seating force of T2 inlet valve (require trip?) (verify proper operation)
- Can T2 be isolated to support troubleshooting without damaging turbine or stopping entire CBX?
- Develop plan to isolate CBX in the event T2 must be stopped, and/or CBX must be tripped.
- Verify that we have a spare.
- What is required to check seating force (operationally)?
- Create an alarm that will alert us when turbine inlet valves are closed and turbine speed is > 0.
- drink a beer
- Get the transfer line from CHL operational
- follow-up meeting ~1/20/2017.
- Contact Pete to begin information/data collection, vendors, contacts.
