General Meeting Summary 7/30/15

SWEEPING MAGNET

• Design: Dipole and 2 plates (field clamp and corrector coil)
• Fringe fields should be manageable
• Power supply: requirements much less than SBS (~2000 A) power supply
• Additional steel required for WACS is part of UK funding proposal. This additional steel can be attached to the side of the magnet

• Next steps

• 3D geometry check with HC infrastructure, e.g., vertical clearance, fit on pivot etc. (Charles, designers, ...)
• Re-do radiation calculations (Hamlet, Rolf, Pavel, TH)

READOUT

• Working on trigger, summed fADC trigger, single crate configuration to simplify the setup

NPS TEMPERATURE

• Nominal temperature: 18 degrees with good stabilization (+- 0.5 degrees)
• Flexible design if need to cool down later

NPS COLLABORATION MEETING

• Best seems to be adjacent to HC/HA meetings in January 2016
