OVERALL GOALS 2021:
SECOND BEAMLINE DESIGN (Yulia, Rolf)
- Working on 2nd IR (IP8) design
- Integrated 2nd IR into overall EIC fulfilling boundary conditions, e.g. crossing angle not too large and not too small
- Two configurations with different crossing angle
- Ongoing work: fold in secondary focus within lattice space, optimizing acceptance for charged and neutral particles simultaneously (requires offsetting/moving magnets and checking optics acceptance - making sure that have a well matched and consistent lattice)
- New version of lattice received, need to check tracks, then could start checking acceptances
- IR6: working on implementation in dd4HEP
- Fine tuning with detector technology details
LATTICE AND GLOBAL FITTING
(David)
- Patrick working on applying global fitting framework to data obtained from lattice calculations
- Might give constraints for global fits on gluon PDFs
CONTINUUM CALCULATIONS (Tobias)
- Continuing pion PDF and also TMD calculations beyond valence ongoing -
PION STRUCTURE FUNCTIONS (Richard)
- working on t-dependence evaluation
- next: kaon SF model
KAON FORM FACTOR (Stephen)
- Event generator being prepared to evaluate events in different frameworks - start with pions and then switch to kaons
