Pion Boer-Mulders function using a contact interaction (DanDan Cheng)
- two nonzero TMDs calculated
- can these TMDs be calculated for all kT/bT? Connection between kT and bT ranges used in lattice and calculations.
- lattice has three points but cannot be extended to the whole range
- calculation can be done over whole range and compare to the three points
- Lattice calculation by Engelhart -
- Lattice groups in general seem currently focused on topics related to evolution
- David's groups work is focused on GPDs but could in principle be extended to TMD calculations - he will look into it, but needs to finish the current work first
- Action: investigate if lattice calculation can be done to check the one by Engelhart
Pion Form Factor Projections for EIC (Love Preet)
- Action: please provide generator for the EPIC software stack
- uniform around 4mr for ZDC for coverage in reconstructed neutron
- how confident on uncertainties at around Q2~25 GeV2 - there, statistics dominated (at lower values of Q2 systematics dominated)
- compared to previous plots now showing 10 fb^-1 that is expected for early science - as typical for a collider luminosity is expecte to ramp up over time to the ultimate possible value.
- question is then how to present the uncertainties in comparison to theory - if show the initial science only then people might be sceptical about the discovery potential
- Action: think about how to present the ultimate potential of EIC, e.g., the error bars at final expected luminosity.
- Reconstruction now more sophisticated than during first level (no cluster merging algorithms and only one cluster) - now there are all clusters included
- Weighting: how is it included in this generator? Needs to be implemented in the overall EPIC software stack too.
