OVERVIEW OF 2025 PROTOTYPE BEAM TEST PLANS

  • Three slots at DESY have been scheduled - all for 2 weeks
  • 17 February following a maintenance period. Goal: comparison of readout chains with Orsay prototype
  • 24 March - no maintenance period - so need to count half a day for setup. Goal: comparison of PMT and SIPM with MIT prototype; CRYTUR prototype
  • 9 June - contingency
  • At JLab EEEMCAL has an opportunity for a parasitic test in Hall D in June/July 2025
  • For the DESY test please send names of participants to Douglas (hasell@mit.edu) as soon as possible

PREPARATIONS FOR 2025 PROTOTYPE BEAM TESTS

  • For the discrete readout boards
  • Larry has assembled three full setups. He will send one with a 2x2 6015 SiPM board, adapter connectors, prototype pre-amp board, and power cable to Gerard for testing at IU. The signal output is an MCX connector.
