DISCUSSION OF DRAFT TALKS

TANJA

  • Add experimental techniques for both sets of experiments
  • Under General requirements: add electron beam energies (p.3) and statement that two separate configurations (SHMS right for angles below 23 deg and SHMS left) are needed (p.4)

STEVE W.

  • Input on exact number of crystals (Tanja)
  • Refer to Carlo's talk for discussion of frame and amplifiers including results from recent beam tests
  • plan for frame delivery is summer 2020
  • Time frame for detector placement and cabling - estimate is ~one month based on Hall A DVCS experience
  • High level software - list INP-Orsay
  • Radiator - same as for J/Psi, follow up with target group on details

STEVE L.

  • Change "patch panel #1" to something like "cable support"
  • Plan for transition from SHMS right to SHMS left configuration in backup
  • Clarify spectrometer support group time, e.g. 100% available
  • Ready to put slides into ERR specific template as needed

CHARLES

  • Working on final slides - plan is to include further detail on: 1) plan for mapping and running and 2) safety and operation

CARLOS

  • Working on final slides
  • Input on exact number of crystals (Tanja)

BRAD S.

  • Working on final slides
  • Slow controls and LED subsystems - follow up with Carlos and Julie
  • Communications with fast electronics group ongoing

JAY

  • No changes to slides

GABRIEL

  • page 2 (Charge reminder): Add specifics for neutral particles: photon, neutral pion
  • page 4 (Commissioning experiment lessons): structure along these lines
  • re-use HMS that was commissioned - works
  • some experiments used in the comisssionng are also relevant for NPS ERR (SIDIS charged pion, exclusive charged meson)
  • page "Simulation and Analysis": include total data produced for WACS - David H can provide this information
  • in general, rates seem ~10 times less than for DVCS
  • Table with kinematic rates would be good - David H can send such a table to Brad and Alexandre
  • page "DVCS track record": include:
  • DVCS 12 GeV analysis progress
  • SIDIS and exclusive mesons - could use Hall C ERR 2016 for template
  • WACS - examples of 2002 run and 2005 and 2007 publications (include references) as a way to expedite and analysis by doing up front GEANT4/SIMC work
  • WACS specific slides: show GEANT4/SIMC slides and illustrate with it how these are used like real data - speeds up analysis
  • Experimental techniques: show for both DVCS/pi0+SIDIS and WACS
  • Add a summary with points:
  • remaining tasks are small and known
  • ready to expedite
  • optimize tasks to expedite analysis towards publication - track record speaks for itself
