SIMULATIONS
- Goal: investigate impact of reducing shielding on performance
- Action item: compare to the M-models from 2018-2020 as baseline and evaluate the shielding optimizations with regard to these
ENGINEERING/DESIGN - THERMAL MODELING
- Loaded data from FLUKA model into FLUENT
- beam current 2.7 uA, steady state
- Can in principle investigate behavior of different heat sources at different coordinates
- Still evaluating the results
- Action item: load more data in and keep investigating
HALL D
