HV DIVIDER UPDATES (Fernando)
- New divider design has 5% of maximum anode current
- Amplification for 1V fADC250 scale is x15 (100mW/channel)
- Power supplies:
- high voltage supplies and boards remain, but need extra low voltage supplies
- Specifics for low voltage PS: need MPV8008LI (37-pin D-sub, 5A max per channel). Will need two (2) plus a spare (lead time 6 months) plus chassis and controller
- 2 cable assemblies per module
- implementation on detector level necessary - action item: need to figure out cable routing in the detector box
- Can amplifiers be put separate and outside the detector box?
- noise is a major consideration
- PMT socket reuse
- will be reused
- ship all from OU to JLab
- Actions and approximate timeframe:
- Finalize test divider, e.g., check potential at all electrodes to see if any adjustments and then measure signal amplitudes etc., and design (~ 2 weeks)
- Produce small batch and test (~2 weeks)
- aim for production in July - simple board to put together (~1 month)
- aim to be ready in September/October
- Figure out how to connect low voltage PS
DSG UPDATES (Aaron)
- Long term HV supply cable testing - some issues identified:
- readback current higher than expected - may need to do some module recalibration
- module channel cannot reach current - cables are fine
- Sensor scanning system development
- Hardware interlock system
- need to order a few additional items (humidity sensors, cable assemblies)
DESIGN/ENGINEERING (Steven)
- Cable box behind calorimeter box on order
- Cable layout - work in progress
- Action: circulate image of cable box
CRYSTALS
- Crytur ~ 860 crystals available at present (+100 university). On track to reach goal by end of the FY
- Crystal stacking: Julie and team are evaluating the configurations with SICCAS crystals on outside and CRYTUR inside
VISITS TO JLAB IN SUMMER AND FALL
- JLab currently still in Medcon5: no new students, experts only, but anticipate policy modifications as overall conditions in VA and US improve
- Action: all (external) teams send information about when visits are planned and as specific as possible the planned tasks to Steve (saw@jlab.org)
NEXT MEETING: THURSDAY 17 JUNE AT 9AM ET
