SUMMARY MEETING 14 MARCH 2013

BACKGROUND STUDIES/DETECTOR

• Add 100 MeV photon threshold curve to figures for WACS. Add info on beam/target/detector conditions used to figures

• Energy spectrum at given angle: 8 degrees (worst case scenario) with detector at 4m from target and no plastic in front of detector

• Study beam pipe possibilities for angle/beam energy combinations

• With largest-size beam pipe, redo background simulations and resulting energy spectrum

DVCS/MESON KINEMATICS

• Add annotations for beam current/target assumptions to DVCS table

• Add ~60 hours to DVCS Hall C request for systematics cross checks. These data will also benefit DES pi0 studies

WACS SIMULATIONS

• Need to check simulation parameters, e.g., location of HMS and minimum angle 10.5 degree absolute minimum HMS angle),(12 degree minimum HMS angle with SHMS at 6 degrees), material and dimensions of cell wall (typical 5 mil Al)
