PRESENTATION ON LATTICE IMPACT ON GLOBAL FITS (William Good/MSU)
- Using gluon data from lattice to refine prior JAM global fit pion PDFs
- Correlations of lattice QCD need to be considered
- Plan to add systematic terms and explore impact of LN data and threshold resummation for the DY theory further
- Q&A:
- Are sea quark disconnected diagrams included on the lattice at the moment? - Not at the moment
- Discussion about the recent paper by the FANTOMAS group.
- The FANTOMAS group's paper is at PRD 109, 074027 (2024). Wally highlights what is shown in Fig. 8, which shows the group's fitted PDFs, including the zero gluon, which seems to be the group's best fit (lowest chi^2), and a corresponding valence quark PDF that has a node at x ~ 0.15 and looks like it has two peaks.
KAON FF AND KAON PDF PROJECTIONS
- Discussion about the recent arxiv submission of the URC group: Feasibility Study of Measuring Λ0 → nπ0 Using a High-Granularity Zero-Degree Calorimeter at the Future Electron-Ion Collider
- Kaon FF and Kaon SF projection studies are starting
PION FF
- Looking into including B0 for extended kinematic reach in x/t
