General EEEMCal Meeting Summary 3/8/21

AANL PRESENTATION (Hamlet)

• Much experience in calorimeter construction including lead glass and lead tungstate

• built, commissioned, and operated several EM calorimeters at Jefferson Lab, e.g., Hall C SHMS and HMS
• participated in many beam test campaigns

• Expertise also in simulations - GEANT4 simulations of lead glass and lead tungstate

• Access to electron 15 MeV-75 MeV electron beams and also hadron beams

• Actions:

• update EIC MC model with EEEMCal hybrid (crystal + glass)

EEEMCAL PRESENTATIONS AT EIC WORKSHOPS

• EIC@IP6

• discussion of draft slides and answers to questions "joining a new consortium" and "active participation in proposal writing"

• agreement that answer is yes
• additional discussion on possible challenges if part of multiple consortia and these all turn into detector collaborations

• EIC Calorimetry workshop

• EEEMCal will have representation there

• Actions:

• circulate slides
• consider assigning members of EEEMCal to weekly meetings of the different consortia

R&D PLAN DEVELOPMENT

• Actions: draft a ~1 page R&D plan based on the outline and the presentations the different EEEMCal groups have given
