PARTICIPANTS: Carlos, Crytur-USA, Hrachya, Petr, Pete, Renee, Richard, Rosi, Tanja, Vardan, Vladimir, Lei

EEEMCAL IN DETECTOR PROPOSALS

  • ATHENA: simulations and validations underway - e.g., impact of material on calorimeter, cost estimates ongoing
  • CORE: simulations being prepared
  • ECCE: 2nd campaign to start this week, assumes full PWO as option 1 and PWO with two rings of glass as option 2
  • Costing:
  • completed the project provided spreadsheet including in-kind for which used the information from the EEEMCal EOI
  • cost of the EEEMCal depends on configuration (Athena, Core, Ecce) and number of PWO assumed

SIMULATIONS

  • EEEMCAL teams working on validations: AANL on recent ATHENA simulations, U. Kentucky has been working on ECCE first simulation campaign data

DESIGN

  • Meeting IJCLab-Orsay team with PM being is being scheduled

PWO+SIPM PROTOTYPE

  • Working on electronics
  • Attaching crystals to reflector foils - for JLab prototype used St. Gobain Bicron-630 optical grease
  • Shipping: separate components and assemble at the lab; initial testing will be done with cosmics at Crytur-USA

PROTOTYPE TESTS

  • DESY test beam: Jan and Ethan were at MIT and got the computer updated and DAQ running. Unfortunately modules for FADC250 from JLab did not arrive so could not be integrated. Planning to ship to DESY in September. We proceed assuming test beam will happen.
  • JLab test beam: prototype support structures ready, prototypes for the first run in September ready; delays in beam delivery until September 4th --> first run EEEMCAL ~20 September, second run ~29 November

NEXT MEETING: MONDAY 13 SEPTEMBER AT 8:30AM ET
