General Meeting Summary 1/13/22

DSG UPDATES (Aaron)

• External chiller monitoring - two vortex flow meters

• ESR foil pre-shaping: 585/600 completed (97% completed)

• 2 people/day for ~3 hours (2.5-3 months)
• ODU 560 foils - still has 460 foils (75% back to JLab)

• EPICS Phoebus screen development

ASSEMBLY SPACE

• Crystal wrapping space: EEL 126

• Wrapping technique: use instructions from Emmanuel's document

• Moving clean room to 126 - Brad will follow up

• Cabinet for storage - available in EEL126

• For comparison: one shelf in cleanroom holds 500 crystals

• Two shelf systems on order

DESIGN/ENGINEERING

• Roof block procurement - in discussion with vendor and also evaluating cutting the existing block (seems best option)

• Cabling strategy layout (some work remaining) - need to purchase cable support and beamline

• Welding stubs on platform and reinforcing pivot - all parts are in

• Making list of small components (nuts, bolts, etc.)

• Patch panel and hardware - all parts are in

OTHER HARDWARE/SUPPORT

• Remaining procurements: LED ribbon cables, heavy gauge ground cable

• FEG - moving ahead, all hardware available

• Modifications for HV/LV performed at IJCLab-Orsay are ready and can be shipped in the next months

NPS ASSEMBLY

• Estimate to have main activities of NPS assembly in June/July 2022

• some activities like crystal wrapping may start earlier

• Assume that assembly space will be available at this time

• Action item: check the updated googleDOC and add/edit/correct as needed

NPS COLLABORATION MEETING

• Plan for ~4 hours of discussions (status review, NPS assembly work plan, NPS physics, etc.)

• Change to Wednesday 16 February morning to avoid any conflicts with Hall C meeting

• Action item:

• make a rough draft of the agenda
• add talk topics to the Wiki agenda
