MAGNET (Bogdan, Charles)

  • Fully assembled
  • coil to ground was tested
  • not yet energized
  • water cooling still being worked on
  • Magnet test plan
  • planning to measure longitudinal and transverse points inside bore and gap
  • determine details of measurement speeds, etc. when service infrastructure finalized

CRYSTALS (Vladimir, Sasha, ...)

  • Inspection and initial measurements look quite good
  • Expect total of 100 crystals from this order
  • Paperwork for CRYTUR additional 55 crystals through CUA and 150 crystals through JLab is being processed - ~40 more through OU likely. Anticipated delivery schedule is March, June, October 2019.
  • Waiting to receive 160 replacement crystals from SICCAS from previous order and signature of next contract over ~400 crystals

PROTOTYPE (Vladimir, Sasha)

  • Prototype is installed in Hall D - some optimizations needed along the way, e.g. platform construction, channels, interlocks
  • Calibration procedure [HV scan and voltage adjustment] has been developed and is being tested (Vladimir)
  • Working on reconstruction software (Sasha)
  • First beam on prototype [1]
  • Testplan with beam [2]
  • Initially plan to take data at different voltage settings scanning beam across calorimeter in steps in x and y
  • Also measure properties like energy resolution, light yield as function of temperature, position resolution, etc.

NPS COLLABORATION MEETING - 1 FEBRUARY 2019 (ARC 231/233)

  • Include mechanical design into M. Fowler's talk
  • All talks listed under point (2) have to include timelines, tasks to complete and manpower - speakers might view their talks as sort of a dry run for the experiment readiness review
  • In general note that charge elements will include:
  • past successes of the group
  • how long group typically takes to get publications out
  • projection of path and timeline from analysis to publication
  • Action items:
