NOTE: this is a short version of the summary. Will update with more detail later...
NPS PROTOTYPE STATUS:
- Most components for prototype have been ordered. Need a list/cost estimate of all remaining materials that are not available.
- Planning to do transmission measurements with two PbWO4 crystals in two different measurement setup (C. Zorn and CUA) to compare methods. Currently have only one crystal, but there are some options to get a second
PROTOTYPE DESIGN:
- Discussion about if box should be made of copper or aluminum. There are arguments in favor of either. We will make a comparison of cost and weight and then decide.
LMS DESIGN:
- Discussion about selection of light source and dependence of selection on type of crystal.
- Will make transmission measurement for PbWO4 and PbF2 crystals to quantify transparency
NPS ELECTRONICS TESTS:
- Communication with DAQ/electronics group ongoing about availability of components needed for tests
CALOR 2014:
- Abstract was accepted and at least one member of NPS collaboration will attend
NPS FUNDING:
- Proposal was submitted to European competition
