OVERALL SCHEDULE

  • NPS removal starts on 5/20
  • Major milestone is the JLab Open House on 6/8 - NPS is to be on the floor for viewing then
  • Discussion of survey - there is a disagreement between the two surveys taken
  • one option is to resurvey
  • however, Steven L, Paulo, and the survey+alignment team were able to show that the disagreement is due to the calorimeter itself
  • Action item: Charles will meet with Steven L, Paulo, et al. and post the explanation of the survey discrepancy in the logbook

NPS DECABLING

  • Discussion of de-cabling plan: overall plan is to do this in layers starting with LEd and ending with signal cables
  • Plan for connectors coming off: might want to label as repair later and repair now
  • Will work at the weekend and/or Memorial Day be needed?
  • Action item: Coordination meeting with techs (Josh/Alexandre/Jerry) - where want bins, access
  • Space constraints limiting number of people working?
  • Action item: Identify and procure materials needed (Josh/Bogdan/Alexandre): gloves, cable ties, bags to protect connectors, labels for bundles with broken connectors, etc. - need to prepare in advance of 5/20
  • Emergency contingency plan for if not finishing de-cabling, could one disconnect cables and remove the detector for the Open House?
  • in principle that is possible, but requires some planning
  • difficulty: if just lay the cables on the platform, one changes the order

STORAGE OF NPS COMPONENTS

  • Spare parts and tooling currently not in schedule - need to add.
  • Action item: What space is needed? (Josh/Julie/Mitch)
  • could they go into the cable carrier? - most likely these are tools that are needed short-term
  • some tools come from physics storage and may be able to put them back there
  • Chiller storage location may depend on how much residual radiation there is
  • may go into physics storage or offsite
  • Hardware that does not require climate control can go into fabric storage
  • Racks in SHMS need to be moved to Hall A (crates are needed there) - cables can stay in principle
  • need some help with removing the cables
