General Meeting Summary 6/8/17

MAGNET UPDATE

• Expect corrector coil to arrive later this month

• Main coil work is ongoing, anticipate arrival at Jlab in August

• Yoke work ongoing, some confusion about extra steel that has been resolved, expect the yoke to arrive in August

• Action Item: have space for big items available in late July/early August

CRYSTAL ACTIVITIES

• First batch of 2017 SICCAS crystals expected to arrive late June

• Clean room is ready - see this picture for status on 6/6/17

• shelves should be able to hold 40-50 crystals each - should be sufficient for all NPS crystals
• shelves are (or will be) covered with a protective foam material

• CRYTUR 5th production cycle crystal

• transmittance and radiation hardness look good, transmittance on the low side
• next, discuss pricing options with company

• SICCAS crystal characterization at IPN-Orsay

• 10 crystals have arrived after some delay in customs
• Transmittance studies completed, light yield studies with Co-60 source ongoing

FRAME

• Draft design should be ready by end of the year - first finalize curing system

• Still need to finalize one aspect of overall design - remove an interference on beam side, make design symmetric. Time frame for this is July.

PMT HIGH VOLTAGE DIVIDERS

• Still need final drawings to start construction of bases - Hamlet will check with Fernando

• one aspect to quantify is cabling off the divider

PAC45 PROPOSALS

• WACS proposal was submitted successfully, a version was circulated to the NPS collaboration

• No comments yet from reviews - expect the first in late June. PAC45 meets in the week of 10 July.

• There will be a dedicated presentation on the photon source at the PAC45 meeting
