TRANSVERSE TARGET ACTIVITIES
- Presentation on the development of a target system optimized for transverse polarization
- System is a mixture of existing and new equipment
- new, wide-split superconducting magnet (Field 5T - to get to lower field need additional design)
- new pumps
- new NMR
- existing vacuum chamber
- existing 1K fridge
- existings microwaves
- New system will be modular and flexible for use (aside from CPS) in other halls and experiments
- Hall B run group H
- SoLID
- Tensor b1 and Azz experiments
TCS UPDATE
- Presentation on unpolarized TCS studies
- Reduction of background with a cut on t looks promising
- A full set of low Q2 studies seems not possible
