SIMULATIONS - HEAT DEPOSITION (Gabriel)

  • Working on heat deposition table
  • power deposition in kW/cm3
  • Investigating issues with magnetic field
  • B from -10 to +20; maximum expected near center, but table shows it at the end of the magnet
  • If true, then may need 10 additional centimeters of cooling
  • average beam, gap is 3mm


SHIELDING MODEL (Josh)

  • Solved problem of facrtor of two - arithmatic error
  • lead 2391 bricks
  • Tungsten 2109 blocks
  • Total weight: 52.8 US tons (Lead, tungsten, borated poly)
