New page

AGENDA COLLABORATION MEETING

* KLong talk (Sean) plus invite people for (informal) discussion about next steps - perhaps invite a local theorist

* Possible theorists for DVCS/TCS/WACS - contact a few about availability (talk could be given remotely)

MAGNET

* Status of vendor discussions about radiation hard coils
::* NZ - no radiation hard epoxy
::* PPPL/ITER - expert contacted
::* Florida High Magnetic Field - expert at ORNL contacted
::* JPARC/Tanaka - two companies contacted

SIMULATIONS

* From an Hall B ERR learned that some GEANT4 versions fail to reproduce experimental data on neutron production - this may explain the observed difference in CPS simulations 2015 and recent FLUKA
::* observe three order of magnitude drop in cross section in latest compared to earlier GEANT4 versions
::* new GEANT version released is better after putting in photodisintegration, but still some problems

* CPS simulations are in FLUKA - for now better to stay with this
::* compatible with GEANT4 for physics projections

* Current CPS status: have new target magnetic field and made initial projections for radiation level at the coils - optimized simulations expected soon

* TCS simulations: help from TCS proponents needed

ARTICLE

* Two small outstanding issues to address - expect to have this done and post to the arXiv soon

FUNDING PROPOSAL

* due January 20, 2020

* need magnet cost

* Cost share details
