PARTICIPANTS: Hakob, Hamlet, Josh, Yeran, Petr, Tanja, Vladimir


ON-SITE PERSONNEL

  • Hakob is on site
  • middle October Arthur at JLab
  • Josh taking classes, but can come ~1 time per week (Fridays)
  • Yeran anticipated to have EAD within the next week - will be on site at JLab then, but needs to complete required trainings and hall walk-through
  • Petr is local to JLab area
  • Hamlet, Vardan, Tanja are off-site


OVERVIEW OF THE BEAM TESTS PLANNED 1) SciGlass + PMT

2) SciGlass few blocks with SiPM

3) PWO + SiPM readout (Fernando) - Sasha and Vladimir

4) PWO + SiPM readout (Crytur) - CRYTUR


DEADLINES

  • Complete characterization of individual blocks by 1 October (Josh, Yeran, Hakob)
  • Transmittance measurement (Yeran, Josh) - complete Friday 16th
  • Dimensions (Hakob) - complete by Wednesday Sept 21st
  • Module assembly (Yeran, Hakob, Josh) - complete (must be ready) by Sept 27th
  • Beam test with 12x1 - aim to install by 28th Sept (Yeran, Hakob, Vladimir)
  • By Thanksgiving (November 23rd) complete beam test with 3x3 SciGlass array
  • Selection of blocks - central block should be the one with the best characteristics
  • Assemble blocks (Hakob, Yeran, Josh, Arthur)
  • Test with cosmics before going into the hall (Hakob, Yeran, Josh, Arthur) - in aerogel room, dark box
  • Install into the hall and QA in hall up to root file - prototype must be ready October 31st
  • Coordination with Hall D (Vladimir)
  • hit central, in coincidence with hodoscope, measure energy resolution
  • Simulations (Petr, Vardan)
  • do simulations with optical effects for 1x1, 3x3, 5x5 (Petr, Vardan)
  • address issue with GEANT4 on the farm (Petr)
  • additional updates to simulation (e.g., changes in emission spectrum, transmission, other characteristics) - Petr/Vardan
  • CRYTUR prototype test will likely be in the last week of October


ACTION ITEMS

  • Start on the items above working towards the deadlines
  • Further develop the details of a test plan for beam test
