Run Plan: Dec. 4 - Dec. 9

Upstream beamline commissioning and beam optics and stability studies using the tagger dump. The goal is to get CW, stable beam to the Hall-B tagger dump.

  • Re-establish CW 1 pass beam to the Hall-B tagger dump
  • Work with MCC crew to establish small size stable beam at the tagger - beam parameters X/Y width ~<100 micron, and S/N on halo counters from the harp wire >10E4.
  • Perform harp scans using 2C21 and tagger (2C24) harps.
  • Then, ask to change the optics to get HPS requested, "ribbon", beam at 2C24 harp, X~150 micron, Y<50 micron.
  • Perform harp scans using 2C21 and tagger (2C24) harps.
    • In order to do above program, when CW beam is established, holo counters and harps must be first calibrated.
    • It may take multiple harp scans to set harp motion limits and halo counter PMT gains.
