Run Plan: Nov. 14 - Nov. 17 Upstream beamline commissioning and beam optics and stability studies using the tagger dump (beam will not go through the Hall). The goal is to get CW, stable beam to the Hall-B tagger dump. Re-establish CW 1 pass beam to the Hall-B tagger dump Work with MCC crew to establish small size stable beam at the tagger - beam parameters X/Y width ~<100 micron, and S/N on halo counters from the harp wire >10E4. Perform harp scans using 2C21 and tagger (2C24) harps. Then, ask to change the optics to get HPS requested, "ribbon", beam at 2C24 harp, X~150 micron, Y<50 micron. Perform harp scans using 2C21 and tagger (2C24) harps. In order to do above program, when CW beam is established, Hall-B beam halo counters and harps (2C21 and 2C24 or tagger) must be calibrated first (click here to read the document). So it may take multiple harp scans to set harp motion limits and halo counter PMT gains. Use instructions for gain setting . With any issue contact Beamline Expert or RC.
