  • Just a reminder: We will have PKI2018 Workshop, Feb 14-15 [1]

  • KL Flux Monitor: Mikhail sent KL Flux Memo to Eugene. The weight of the device is 1.1 ton.[2]. Then Tim has to consider this case.
  • CFS: Tanja posted a draft of the NPS/CPS 2018 Action Items: [3].
  • SC & cryotarget: A week ago, Justin, Eric, Chris, and Igor met and discuss a SC and LH2/LD2 cryotarget configuration. The bottom line is that the cryotarget will have 6 cm in diameter and 40 cm length and it will fit a SC scattering chamber. The cryotarget location is in the center of the GlueX detector. There is a minor question regarding a production angle for different particles for different reactions which somehow depends on the cryotarget location.
  • Mikhail's calculations for KLp-->K+n (K+ production angle in CM vs energy) [4] (left: all, right cos(Theta)> -0.95). Kaons from the center of the cryotarget will be detected up to 126 deg in CM.
  • KL beam: Ilja made MC for KL beam. The size of the KL beam is much broader than the size of the diameter of the cryotarget. With accuracy of 0.1 deg, we can consider that KL will come to the cryotarget in parallel (there is no angular spread). The density of KLs on the cryotarget for 16 m base are at

[5]. Ilja promised to make similar plot for realistic 24 m base.

  • Final design of Be-target assembly [6].The weight of the Be-target assembly is 14.5 ton which is acceptable. Preliminary results show that we are under RadCon control [7]. We are waiting for Tim and his thoughts for a cooling system.
  • Cesar" is still working to make a code for couple channel PWA and then will accept quasi-data.
