We continue our discussions on Baryon Contamination:

Last meeting we decided to compare different methods of attacking the problem.

Today we focussed on expanding our PWA model to include baryon amplitudes (derived from fits to the data). We plan the following tasks:

We will use the AmpTools software to include the SAID baryonic amplitudes in an overall (including mesons and baryons) partial wave analysis of the neutral 3-pions systems (pi+pi-pi0) in photoproduction. We will analyze g12 data and also study simulations (for Gluex and CLAS12) to test our model.

-First steps: will be to install at JLab AmpTools (will be nice a tutorial session by Ryan ?). -Get the relevant baryon vertex amplitudes from SAID (hopefully with Ron's help) -Produce our PW model and Likelihood function (we might use GPUs- depending on effects in normalization integrals, i.e. computer times). This exercise will produce a PW generator.

We will, first, use this model to study the angular effects of introducing the baryon amplitudes, for example in kinematic (angular) cuts, moments ...

All attending agree to work in this problem! .... and report progress in two weeks.
