International Workshop on Physics with Positrons at Jefferson Lab

JPos17, 12-15 September 2017, Newport News, Virginia

      • First Circular ***

We invite you to attend the International Workshop on Physics with Positrons at Jefferson Lab. This workshop is organized to explore the complementary physics potential offered by a polarized positron beam at JLab. We seek presentations and discussions in the context of CEBAF 12 GeV, of a future Positron-Ion collider (complementary to an Electron-Ion Collider), and also low-energy positron applications. Workshop proceedings will be a basis for an informative White Paper for a positron physics program at JLab.

Topics include: -Multi-photon exchange -Deeply virtual Compton scattering -Electroweak structure of hadrons -Heavy quark production -Beyond the Standard Model physics -Low energy polarized positron beam applications -Polarized electron and positron sources -Multi-turn accumulation and fast kickers -Positron beams at CEBAF, JLEIC and LERF

The workshop program will be plenary sessions composed of both invited talks steered and contributed talks. A reception and networking/poster session are also planned. Students are especially encouraged to contribute to the workshop poster session.
