Holly's comments on offsets with the CaFe optics:
pphi_offset should match the first coefficient in the 0th order line. We don’t put the 0th order elements in the mamtrix elements for replay.
We copy the offset to the hmsflags.param. It’s usually just the pphi_offset, leave ptheta_offset to 0, and you can then fit the ppcentral_offset
we have no delta optimization above 8.5, so you would need to try my offset (ppcentral_offset= 0.9979), and look at the W at 9.2 GeV and then see if it needs to be shifted further
HMS
HMS optics data from pionLT: https://hallcweb.jlab.org/wiki/index.php/12_GeV_HMS_Optics_Data
Standard matrix
The standard matrix for p0<5GeV/c. Should work up to 5.8GeV/c since we are modify the dipole central setting to give the correct ytar versus yptar. Need to cross check with other optics data b/w 5-5.8GeV/c (per Mark Jones).
- file from 2018: File:Hms recon coeff opt2018.txt
- already in hallc_replay_XEM/PARAM/HMS/GEN/hcana_fa22.param, no further change needed
- to do: check with hydrogen elastic data?
6.3 GeV/c saturated
Part of PionLT optics data. May not be analyzed.
6.6 GeV/c saturated
waiting for Jacob Murphy's reply.
