Current Tasks

Run the XEM model for 5.1 GeV EMC data.

Burcu Work: Not currently working on any analysis as of now: Planning to do: Look at pi/e- ratios for X>1 data. Use Abishek’s information Abishek came up with (using existing data) Decide on Noble Gas Cherenkov gas mix, etc for upcomming week Hopefully avail for next week. Planning to help with analysis tasks: Where she can start Dave Gaskell:

  • Might get done by near.

Log entry on cryo target density uncertainty. Not consistent with what Dave has heard in the past. Bill has values like 0.6%, which is starteling Look at target boiling. Determine difference between Dave Mack and our values. Don’t know why they should be different. Bill sent data for Dave to play with EMC ratio anomaly, where it is not yet correct. Nievely use Dave Mack’s boiling value moves in the correct direction, so related.

Abishek: Working on the point-to-point dependence of the error on acceptance. Acceptance studies – did not include error bars on acceptance studies, and stat. error was ~1.2% Adding error bars, very sensitive to statistical errors. Must add ‘added error’ to all momentum settings.

    • Added error is until the Chi-2 value goes to ~1 per DOF. This is the ideal value, and this will give us an idea of the point-to-point error associated with the acceptance. **
    • Possibly combine the two settings that have okay ratios (Data/MC) across the acceptance.

Systematic tracking efficiency is hard to pin down. Rel. Uncert. Comes from Deb’s study from rate dependence. Abishek will be looking at EMC ratio with correct target thickness. Need to add Boron-11 final value.

Cameron was on Shift – Did carbon hole centering.

Put files on CDAQ machine.
