March 9, 2016 - Monthly 4-laser Upgrade Status Meeting

We'll meet on Wednesday March 9 in TL-1227 for around-the-table updates preparing for the summer SAD 4-laser upgrade. The agenda below is meant to explore the different activities, please add/edit as makes sense, post material to share or send me in advance and I can add it.

Discuss modified Summer SAD schedule, remind people of constraints

Laser Status (John)

Status for 4th laser amplifier, components to complete 4th laser + additional optical path
New RTP scheme
New PSS shutter complete?
What else?

SCAM-II (Roger)

Status for SCAM-II development
Comment on additional requests / timeline:
  1. Kevin Jordan provide requirements for an auxiliary beam sync trigger,
  2. Michael Tiefenback say whether to retain Mizar board, or what Mizar-like functions desired
When do you want requirements document for SCAM-II finalized, already?

LLRF (Tomasz)

Status and review of last meeting action items or comments:

1. Finalize plans with (Sandip and Alex) LCLS-II digitizer boards?

2. 

3. FPGA could be LCLS or commercial, but Curt prefers we go path of LCLS
* Tomasz would do design and implement with Rama, Chad, Trent
* Provide technical specification to software by May
* Aim to develop and test in the March-April-May time frame
* Need to coordinate with software on final solution e.g. FPGA or PC104

4. Require GSET, PSET and switch for 250/500

5. John would like a digital output for RF on/off state for safe integration to laser amplifier
