READOUT ELECTRONICS

• ASIC development ongoing - developing boards - expect to test in beam on order one year

• Discussion of agenda for electronics meeting

DESIGN/ENGINEERING

• Project collecting information on calibration and monitoring system

• laser for alignment
• laser or LED for monitoring

• Other calorimeters use LED mounted with SiPM board

• EEEMCAL not yet decided on LED or laser

• require constant term to be small
• expect good stats on electrons (using tracker at large angle) and pi0 - so expect enough stats to monitor with physics data any drifts over the long term
• pi0 can use for absolute calibration/monitoring

• EEEMCAL design based on:

• CMS monitoring, NPS, and also check Hall D

• Nonlinearity tests and calibration

• SiPM 10um nonlinearity expected on order few percent - much worse than for 15um
