General EEEMCal Meeting Summary 11/11/22

PARTICIPANTS: Renee, Rosi, Richard, Vladimir, Cristiano, Tanja, Justin, Hamlet, Vardan, Hrachya, Carlos, Gabriel

NSF PREPROPOSAL - DUE 5 JANUARY 2023

• Discussion of the components of the proposal

• Format: single proposal submitted by PI institution with subawards to all other institutions. CUA will be the submitting institution

• 4 co-pi's with representation of EPSCOR, undergrad serving, etc.
• subawardees submit documents to PI institution SPO (CUA) that collects and then submits the single document to NSF

• Responsibilities list for each institution - some are overlapping, e.g., prototyping. This can be included in SOW

• Narrative

• Science case and broader impacts ongoing
• Action items:

• have separate meeting on detector section to get it started
• make overleaf for the entire document - Renee can extend the one made for the Science Case section

• Budget: need to define the project - it can assume existing infrastructure that it will be installed in etc.

• Action item: define the global budget and iterate on subawards

• Calendar: some SPOs may need documents as soon as 22 December - need to work towards that
