DESY TEST BEAM PREPARATIONS

• Offically approved for 28 October - 11 November

• no rush to disassemble

• Douglas is the contact for the run

• Need to know who is coming - Douglas has to invite them and then they can register

• from MIT Ethan Cline, Ivica, and Douglas are coming

• No more than 5 people in the counting house, but more people can be in the test area

• About 6 people for assembly/disassembly is a good number

• Shipping equipment: follow the instructions for import/export

• check the rules for EU countries - if no special import requirements, then can go straight to the relevant building

• Initial count:

• Orsay: 1-2
• Crytur: 2-3
• AANL: 1-2 (pending funding)
• CUA: 1

• Prepare a SiPM readout to use with the MIT prototype

• running w/ Doug's readout connected to SiPM's? For a *direct* comparison of PMT to SiPM
• Digitizer CAEN 1725S
• five extra crystals that could be the SiPM spare modules

• PED for final design - note: these funds can be used even after the final design review planned for Nov/Dec 24 or Jan 25

• should be for long-term, about one year
• may include funds for pre-production
• for both labor and materials
• process takes about 3 months before funding becomes available

• Actions:

• Groups send personnel info for DESY beam test to Douglas
• Groups start preparing lists of hardware that will be brought to DESY
• Funding options for SiPM purchase for DESY beam test - need order of 400
