General Meeting Summary 10/20/16

MAGNET UPDATE

• Discussion about coil quotations

• so far received three quotes for the old coil design ranging between $100k-$200k, and one for the new coil design (~$100k)

• First production drawings for steel have been made - request for quotation can go out soon

PMT HV BASES

• Hamlet sent all information on the active base design to OU - work will begin soon

CRYSTALS

• Hall D requires crystals of the same dimensions as NPS (default is 2.05 cm x 2.05 cm x 20 cm)

• Ongoing studies: irradiation, optical, chemical analysis

NPS COLLABORATION MEETING AND HIGH INTENSITY PHOTON SOURCES WORKSHOP

• Doodle poll to determine dates for the high intensity photon sources workshop - open until Friday 21 Oct.

• Not yet clear if next NPS collaboration meeting should be attached to Hall A or C meeting or the high intensity photon sources workshop - discussion to first develop an agenda for each and then decide. Also check with Hall A/C group leaders

• Discussion about possible new science topics involving NPS, photon source, and polarized target for NPS collaboration meeting

• Action item: send suggestions for topics and speakers for NPS collaboration meeting agenda
