General Meeting Summary 12/16/21

PMT HV DIVIDER UPDATES

• Evaluation of noise level for new divider without shielding and with shielded box

• HV=605V @ 405uA, amplitude 10% of max
• noise unshielded: <110mVp-p (peak to peak)
• noise shielded: <5mVp-p (peak to peak)

• Tests with and without extra GND to clean GND

• Note: ADC 12bit/1V scale --> noise normal operations is ~1mV-2mV. Then for 5 mV peak to peak the RMS is ~< 2mV within the ADC noise

• For experiment have the threshold at ~30 MeV - 1% of 1V signal is 100mV, noise level seems acceptable

• also not triggering on pulse but need to collect amplitude

• Procurements have been submitted - expect dividers to be ready late March/early April

NPS ASSEMBLY

• Component testing space is available (EEL 126 and NPS Cleanroom)

• check with Vladimir/Brad on details of availability

• Final NPS assembly space is scheduled to be available on 4/28, but delays may be expected - a status update will be requested in February 2022

• may assume that part of the space will be available by mid-May for stacking blocks etc., even if no DAQ yet

• Travel plans for NPS assembly earliest in May 2022 - please note any feedback received from the February 2022 update

• Storage space in EEL126/NPS Cleanroom

• Shelves for crystals are being ordered
• Vladimir will follow up with Brad on getting a cabinet for storing the preshaped reflector foils

• Action items:

• Redo NPS assembly plan taking into account space availability
• Check with Facilities on progress with NPS assembly space
• Cabinet for pre-shaped foils in EEL 126
• Preshaped foils - follow up with Charles on those made at ODU in January
