PARTICIPANTS: Dmitry Romanov, Douglas Higinbotham, Julia Furletova, Richard Trotta, Tobias Fredericko, Tanja Horn, Patrick Barry, Rachel Montgomery, Paul Reimer, Rolf Ent, Garth Huber, Arun Tadepalli, Carlos Ayerbe Gayoso


FAR FORWARD REGION EFFECTS (Yulia)

  • Working on document collecting FF effects for both IPs
  • crossing angles
  • vertex or momentum smearing


SOFTWARE (Dmitry)

  • joint effort to develop simulation for EIC (DD4HEP)
  • Anticipated to be released at BNL first - download and view data does not require an account though
  • To compare two beamlines when will the software be ready for it?
  • can be done in G4e presently with both IP6 and IP8 - need to add 10sigma for RP for IP8, need to take into account when calculating acceptances
  • with new software expect to have this ready in May
  • Beamlines also sent for implementation into Fun4All - Doug will check with Jin on the status
  • Smearing - Fast simulations tools
  • EICsmear (Kolja Kauder)
  • Delfes (Miguel Arratia)


GLOBAL ANALYSIS STUDIES (Patrick, Richard)

  • Ongoing: pion/kaon global impact studies, lattice QCD
  • Ongoing: model further development (splitting function, etc.), t-dependence/resolution


MESON FORM FACTORS (Garth)

  • Need to develop a generator - cross section parameterization
  • Study capabilities of the detector proposals for pion measurement
  • forward beamline
  • detection of forward going pion - t-resolution
  • Action item: implement generator into full detector simulation frameworks
  • Kaon form factor measurement
  • document lambda/sigma
  • Action item: investigate if one can separate lambda/sigma and actually make a measurement of kaon FF?


THEORY (Tobias, Patrick)

  • Ongoing:
  • thinking about calculation of mass distribution in pion in model
  • finished a paper on pion FF up to 100 GeV2 in fully relativistic model - see approach to valence at high momentum transfer
  • Calculating mass is difficult: calculation of mass in Minkowski very challenging
