PARTICIPANTS: Yulia, Garth, Maranda, Richard, Rolf, Stephen, Tobias, Tanja, Patrick, Arun, Douglas, David R., Huey-Wen,
DETECTOR PLANNING
- Overview validation studies of IP6 FF
- Discussion of IP8 FF ongoing and planned studies
- No difference for decay particles likely; maybe advantage of second set RP
- Larger acceptance proton/neutron cone - magnet setup has larger bore in IP8 (4mr cone vs ~5mr cone)
- Detector sizes
- ZDC IP8 cone of accepted particles larger - note: if pT same then ZDC size larger
- B0 configuration
- Action items:
- Continue IP6 FF validation
- IP8 FF evaluation of MC samples
- Check pT/t assumption for DVCS (where assume bore) and meson SF
- Acceptance fractions
GLOBAL ANALYSIS
- Work ongoing on lattice
MESON SIMULATIONS
- Ongoing work on generators and Monte Carlo Samples
DISCUSSION OTHER
- Quark-gluon sum rules and correlation with mass
- Progress with the lattice - pion gluon content more difficult to calculate than nucleon - most of pion mass comes from momentum and calculation at higher momentum more challenging
- Including resummation beyond NLO calculations has an impact on gluon contribution
- Action item: consider possible small Pion-Kaon Workshop on topic of sum rules and mass correlation in ~6-8 months
