- Send connection information to Dave A. about the FPGA2 meeting in Wed.
- Discussed existing cards at JLab. Dave A. said one was already in indras2.
- Data Lake
- Discussed disk buffering. Chris pointed out that for it to be effective one would need to pre-buffer data and not wait for buffers to fill before trying to write to disk
- Pre-emptive buffering requires all data be written to disk. This would limit the speed of the lake and would wear out the disk pretty quickly.
- Decided it would generally be better to just drop frames in cases when falling behind.
