File Format

  • Dave A. showed a few (slides) to initiate a conversation on SRO data format
  • We could consider adopting a format similar to the CODA event format which maps well to SRO systems
    • Benefit is it allows aggregating smaller time slice blocks which decreases overhead ratio
  • Some discussion on redundancy of information in format (e.g. time slice number and time stamp)
  • More thought needed on merging this with Graham's draft SRO format which does not explicitly include aggregation
  • Will continue discussion next week
