SRO

  • Design of Data Lake component
    • Hall-B setup "2" absorbed into TriDAS setup so only a single system exists now
    • Looking to evaluate 3 other Data Lake options
    • Chris L. is looking at designing a Data Lake from ground up.
    • Indra hardware not fully set up yet
  • Some work started between Vardan and Carl on stream aggregation (event building)

JANA

  • Close to having something for Kishan to test with heterogeneous hardware
  • Some optimization was done with time delays to increase event rates for jobs requiring little processing
  • Modest advances on GlueX port

A.I.

  • Town Hall
    • 24 Talks. Most were a little heavier on physics/experiment details than A.I. (as expected)
    • Need to post slides (David will request)
  • JANA2
    • Found path to save models built in Keras and read them back in with C++
    • Model identified for testing
    • Will use Inception V3 or similar with random weights for testing on GPU

Offsite Computing

  • GlueX Data Processing
    • NERSC is providing very minimal amount of processing
    • PSC is similar to last year and fairly steady at ~300 files per day
    • Will hand off day-to-day to Igal J. in Hall-D later in the week
  • OSG
    • First jobs coming to JLab "relatively soon"
    • Only JLab related jobs will be allowed at first

EVIO-6

  • Coming to end of debug run
  • Next, will start working on updating documentation

  • Wouter will give talk on SPACK Wed. @ 3pm on bluejeans (id: 702 801 637)
